Most of us have heard of the law of karma, which is described by familiar sayings like, "what goes around comes around," and "as you sow, so shall you reap."

We engage in certain activities and we get certain results. But karma yoga is different. It is not a practice where one seeks the fruits of their labour, rather by using one's activities in the service of the Supreme Lord, and all of His children, a person can pave the way for true peace and harmony in their life.

The path of karma yoga is taught to us directly by the Supreme Lord, Sri Krishna, in the Bhagavad-gita, one of the foremost yoga scriptures. Spoken over 5000 years ago, the Bhagavad-gita is a conversation between Sri Krishna and the great warrior Arjuna, that took place just before the start of the battle of Kurukshetra. Krishna explained to Arjuna his actual duty, the eternal nature of the self, our relationship with the Supreme, the purpose and goal of yoga, how our activities affect our consciousness, and ultimately, how to attain the perfection of life, pure love for the Supreme Soul.

The eternal truths of the Bhagavad-gita resonate with countless people from all faiths and cultures. Mahatma Gandhi said, "My life has been full of external tragedies and if they have not left any visible or invisible effect on me, I owe it to the teaching of the Bhagavad-gita."

This enlightening and free, live-streamed multi-part webcast is made available by Science of Identity Foundation for the benefit of the people. People from all walks of life and background can learn from the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita and experience true lasting peace and harmony.
