Visiting Indian Swami Shared the Secrets to Happiness at a Special Event Hosted by Science of Identity Foundation

HONOLULU, Oct. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Sripad Swami Bodhayan delivered a timeless message of yoga wisdom and kirtan meditation to more than 120 attendees at a special event hosted by the Science of Identity Foundation at the University of Hawaii at Manoa recently.

The message he delivered was particularly aimed at those who are seeking happiness in the material world. "If we really want to become happy," said Swami Bodhayan, "we must connect with the source of happiness, God. And we can easily link to God by the transcendental sound of His Holy Names."

Swami Bodhayan is the current spiritual leader of the Gopinath Gaudiya Math (Institute). He comes in an unbroken line of Vaishnava Hinduism that recognizes Sri Krishna (who appeared in India 5,000 years ago and spoke the Bhagavad-gita) as the Supreme Lord.

During his presentation, Swami Bodhayan offered his deep respects to Jagad Guru Siddhaswarupananda Paramahamsa, the founder of Science of Identity Foundation, and expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Jagad Guru for sponsoring "this glorious event."

Both Swami Bodhayan and Jagad Guru Siddhaswarupananda Paramahamsa are founding members of the World Vaishnava Association, an umbrella organization of over 30 India-based and worldwide missions adhering to and promoting Vaishnava teachings. A relationship of cooperation and support between Science of Identity Foundation and Gopinath Gaudiya Math has existed for almost two decades.

The event, which was free of charge, began with transcendental sound meditation called "kirtan," followed by a lecture by Swami Bodhayan, who then answered a number of questions from the audience. The event concluded with a vegetarian snack and more kirtan.

Notable attendees included Koki Kotak of the Hawaii Hindu Temple and representatives of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).

Ms Kotak said, "It was a very wonderful kirtan on Saturday. This meditation brings wisdom and cheerfulness in our life, allows us to find a new kind of freedom. Aloha and Mahalo to Sripad Bodhayan Swami."

Science of Identity Foundation president Jeannie Bishop called the event a "great success." She added, "People enjoyed themselves and found it quite enlightening. Everyone I spoke to asked if there would be similar events to come."
